Founder and CEO
Nakul Sharma cut his teeth in international hospitality operations and strategy at the world’s largest hotel chains, Starwood Hotels and InterContinental Hotels Group. In 2013, he was closely following Airbnb's phenomenal growth as a host and traveller. Nakul's experiences led to an opportunity to create a hospitality management operation for homestays that would not only serve as a support for hosts to more easily share their homes but also offer a more consistent, reliable and memorable stay experience for guests in the homes.
Hostmaker launched in 2014 and is now the largest VC-backed homestay hospitality management team in Europe with operations in the world's largest homestay markets - London, Paris, Barcelona & Rome. Hostmaker recently closed a Series A round.
Nakul graduated from Shannon College of Hotel Management in Ireland and has an MBA from INSEAD.
